CareSpace

A significant part of CareDox’s business involves engaging parents to enroll their children in vaccine programs and through digital health registration for day-to-day care coordination via the in-school Electronic Health Record. Parents also benefit from this engagement by getting regular updates, access to archived documents, and insight into trends in their child’s health.

The challenge

Create an experience that drives engagement and retention of parents through the subjects that they find most valuable related to their child’s health.

The approach

We spent a lot of time with parents through interviews, surveys, and ethnographic research to understand what was most valuable to them and where there were problems we might resolve through a product solution.

We ran multiple workshops including structured brainstorms and design sprints to align, based on our primary and secondary research, on testable prototypes to validate a product approach to engaging parents. We were able to rapidly move from not knowing what the answer was to a native mobile app as a result.
